.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Three years in a row, 75 gr ELDM filled my tag. This year was 277 yards, first shot was rushed and I destroyed the liver (but didn’t puncture the gut). He didn’t like that but he didn’t drop right away so I put the next one in this neck.

He went about 6 feet. Very clean carcass, almost no bloodshot. Both bullets exited.

Getting me psyched up I’m really looking forward to my white tail hunt in SC at the end of the month. I plan to use my 223 for most of the hunt. Have to vet my 95 grain TMKs as well before I head to CO for late season rifle muley and doe antelope.
