I was always a zero at 200 yards guy because I liked using the point blank range method for when I needed to make quick shots under 350 ish yards. Now that I am hunting using scopes with exposed turrets I started to zero my rifles at 100 yards and if I am walking in a area where I might need to make quick shots at various distances I just dial my scope up 1.5 MOA.

A lot of people had a similar path. There are so many advantages to a 100 yard zero. A more reliable zero might be the biggest one

Factory 16 inch 6 creed in stainless would be awesome. Though just watch them make it a 1:9 or something.

Anyone play with the 55 grain Norma Oryx? It's in stock as as both a component and factory ammo for 223 and 22-250 locally. Is it comparable to the fusion/golddot? The .22-250 factory option in particular since the fusion has been discontinued if comparable would be great for the many old slow twist guns out there and folks who aren't inclined to reload.
Larger calibers seem similar if a little more inclined to exit than the fusions so that is promising.

  • 61.1 spread
  • 21.3 SD
  • 2699 min, 2760 max
• ADI 69 SMK
  • 2759 fps (avg)
  • 106.1 spread
  • 24.6 SD
  • 2711 min, 2818 max

Also, the accuracy of the two was very close, with a slight edge to the Black Hills.
