Recommendations on sun clothing/hoodie?

These have been decent for me and at that price their almost disposable
Plus 1 for these. Just bought a few for running and yard work. Hood is a little big but nothing to complain about really. I’d pay the 12-18 bucks over a Tiburon or Gila or any of the other high brands. There’s so many companies out there that make great Heat gear for cheap. Even Sam’s and Costco has great deals. Remember you’re just paying for the name.

I just got this one, another and the OV. The outdoor vitals is way lighter and more breathable. I'm sure it's not as durable but I'm looking for max cooling.

Like OV. I have a pair of bases from them and are great. Next purchase I’m looking to get is that Ventus hoodie and eventually the Zulu jacket.

The OV is REALLY lightweight and breathable. I've been wearing some midwayUSA hoodies daily for working outdoors in the desert a couple years and while they have a giant Jedi hood, and uber long sleeves, the material is awesome and they were $15. I don't think they make them anymore though. Also worn a couple of Striker brand in the mix, they have a much better fitting hood, and while the material doesn't stretch or breathe as well they do have mesh paneling along the inner arm/torso that works well.
IME the Columbia PFG do not breathe nearly as well as others. I've found them cheap on ebay and thrift store though, and they're OK.
I have a couple merino that are nice, duckworth, smartwool, maybe another they all feel very similar. I haven't really worn those in the heat.
Surprised these aren't the standard https://www.nightforceoptics.com/apparel/hoodies/nf-atacr-scope-prone-upf-35-performance-sun-hoodie

But actually curious if anyone has tried any of the bamboo material hoodies
Code of Silence bamboo hoodie has been great on recent range trips at 100*+ . It feels a little thick in the hand, but it was very comfortable under the hot sun. has mesh lined kangaroo pocket, hood fits great. I've had another bamboo shirt before and it was also super comfortable so I think bamboo may be the best material I've tried, at least on par with the midway stretchtastic.

Also another bit of advice if your dealing with a lot of sun exposure and the humidity is low, try two layers of shirt. Lots of guys around here working outside do this and it makes a big difference adding a second layer between skin and the big ball of fire. outer shirt gets HOT in the sun, but the inner shirt against your skin can stay relatively cool and provides a boundary layer effect. obviously the breathability is less and it's not so great in high humidity where the airflow is king, but in the desert humidity and brutal UV exposure, it's the way.
