2025 Fitness Goals Accountability Thread

2,500 total miles, approx. 80% running, the balance rucking as I work up to my Brooks range grizzly hunt in May.

A couple trail hundos.
Progress through the first 7 weeks of the year. Completed the LOViT 100 this weekend which brings total mileage to 520 and 75k of vert. Taking this week off to let the body soak up that training. Will now transition to my run/ruck strategy for the next 8 weeks before my spring hunt. I could not be happier how things have gone so far, I'm very blessed. I also transitioned to a paleo diet in early January and it has made a tremendous difference on my training and recovery.

I would also highly recommend this race. Hands down the best organized and run trail ultra I've been part of. And the central Arkansas scenery is fantastic.

Goals...get down to 200 pounds, 3 lifting/crossfit days/week, 3ish hours of zone 2 per week (ruck/hike/stairs), sub 7 mile (I'm close), drink a few less IPA's and eat a few less cookies.

February in the books; 144 miles and ~ 20,000' of gain/loss. I missed 10 days without strength training; had a good excuse, we were in Kauai for a little over a week :D I was midway through a Wendler cycle, so when I got back home I just started the cycle over.

I'm just a few miles behind on my goal pace for the year, mostly due to a couple of 0 days traveling back and forth to HI; confident I can make those up in the next couple of months.

Kauai had some nice hiking (along with a shit ton of picturesque beaches!); was a lot more rugged hiking than I was expecting—everything started at sea level and quickly (very quickly) climbed and the footing was pretty sketchy in a lot of stretches. One of the hikes had a dozen plus ropes to get you down/up, that's pretty steep when they put ropes in :ROFLMAO:

Nice @mtwarden & @Ross you guys are always impressive with your consistency.

I'm at 631 biking miles for the year and 52 for hiking/rucking. Totals at 683 miles and 54,500 ft. of elevation gain for the year. I have a few trips planned this year where training will be difficult at best so it's good I'm ahead of schedule for now.

My body is feeling pretty good overall, but I wouldn't mind improving my recovery/sleep. It's sometimes rough to fit everything in with 4 kids so I end up training in the early morning hours and that often means sacrificing sleep to get it in. I'd like to be getting closer to 7 hours a night than I'm getting right now so I may have to make some adjustments to prioritize that.
