This test hole site in the photo below is productive on rainy nights. I think they are habituated to checking it for bronze frogs. First photo is the double catch and then next 2 photos are same animals.

Night 18.

We may be getting low on targets but I heard howling last night so perhaps my day will come.


I thermal hunted a new property one of the dead nights here for my line and that property had critters moving all over for a wide span of time.
 
I’d love to catch a gray. I’ve never even seen one alive. Saw one dead on the side of the road in New Mexico but that’s it. Tried to call em in southern AZ but no luck.

I had a good chat with the boys about optimism.

Many men would say with these odds we will never catch a coyote. Guys like Daddy think “with these odds, we will catch one tonight.”
