Going to shoot broadheads this year where last year was just FP’s. Same range at 50. Hopefully the mornings before work are just a tiny bit less windy this year. Damn Wyoming…

Going to try and shoot my bow for the first time this year. Broke a few ribs on my right side 6 weeks ago. Finally feeling normal, was worried I’d miss this years CBC.

Rocking the same bow set up but have a new house with a sweet target surprise. Hoping I can work my way up to last years MER in time.

Prizes are looking great so far.

I had to miss last year due to my bow exploding so I'm excited to get in this year!

I'm going to be doing fixed blades from 80 at an elk vital sized target. It's kind of a stretch but I've been shooting really well so I'm feeling semi confident... we shall see!

Thanks for doing this. I did 50 last year with broad heads and I think I'm going to try at least 60 this year. I've been pretty involved with the local archery range this year so I've been shooting a lot more than I normally do this time of year.

Nope
Great to see it back. Thanks Robby and crew.
This always challenges me . I am no long range shooter by any stretch snd this helps me push myself incase i get a long followup shot in a hunting situation.I am changing bows this year and lots of adjustments.
New sight, new release, different bow....
One question..if something comes up, bow adjustment, sight comes loose etc, and i need alittle more tweaking. As long as there are 8 shootable days in the challenge , Can i start another 5 day sequence after waiting 3 days to start again?

Yes, just like on the mountain, if there’s an equipment malfunction you can restart the challenge.

What we’ve been doing is if somebody’s shooting gets interrupted by equipment failure, say on day three, they have to restart the challenge and shoot five more arrows once they get their bow back in tune.

They can’t just fix everything and pick back up at day 4 as most likely they will have been shooting multiple arrows same day to get their bow back functioning.

I guess theoretically if your bow blows up on your day 4 and the next day is the last day of the challenge, you wouldn’t be able to finish.

Just like on the mountain if your bow fails, pretty much screwed

In the last five years I don’t remember anyone not being able to finish due to equipment malfunction, but there have been more than a few guys who’ve had to restart the challenge due to equipment failure

Make sense?

Stoked for this! I was 2/5 on my little vital zone on the Rinehart target at 50 yards last year. I would like to go 5/5 this year at that same distance and same broadheads (Daysix 125s) so I can see year-over-year improvement...or not. Those prizes this year are incredible! Great work setting it up, @robby denning!

Got my new strings on a few weeks ago, been trying to get the garden in so I can work on my other projects.

Just got re-sighted at 20 yesterday, did 45 last year with field points which was the furthest I have shot so far. Still using the cheap 3 pin fixed sight that came with my RTH Diamond edge SB-1.

This year, going to try and use broadheads and shoot at 50 if I can get things working well by then.

Hi, just updated the prize thread. S&S Archery CL Trekking poles are up for grabs.

am I the only one shooting in this thread? C’mon, don’t leave me hanging solo, someone else step up and embarrass themselves. 🤣
