Your VX3 33 should be the same size of the 38?
My V3 31.5 is almost the same as my 38, and it's almost 1.5" shorter than your 33

I really wanted to get the TRX36. My shooting buddy has one and shot 300 in Vegas this year, and a 299 with it. I am a 29.2 DL and just desire the string angle of the taller riser bows.

Ok, curiosity got me. The riser on the 33 is pretty much the same as the 36. The limb pocket angles are way different, so on the front of the riser (side away from shooter at full draw, technically the back) the riser is longer on the 33. The belly side (side facing shooter at full draw) the riser's are the same. The limb pocket pivot bolts seem to be same distance, maybe still slightly longer on the 36, but overlaying them, risers seem exactly same length.

About 3" difference in the two overall.

The 40 has a few inches on the 33 on riser, then about 7" overall.

So since the gen 2 38 has same cams as the trx 36 and 40, I'm going to guess your 38 is only 5" longer overall from a V3X 33".
Not a lot really, especially compared to what we use to hunt with.

Something ain't making sense. My TRX 36 has 3" on the 33 overall.

You talking riser length still?

Or one of us using a fish tape?

I use my hands, usually pretty accurate.

longer than I though.

But the V3 31.5 is 37.5

Thats 4.5 inch longer on the 38 than the V3.

Your V3X should have an OAL of around 39" ?
That would put it 3" shorter OAL than my 38.

I really think the TRX36 could be the ultimate bow for hunting
I might have just talked myself into getting one, and bypassing the V3X 33.

I've been shooting for the last week after a 1.5yr hiatus. I changed out my sight and swapped to a 15" beestinger counter slide. Still fine tuning at 20 yards, but hoping to go with MER of 50 this year. Gonna screw on some broadheads in a few days and see how they fly compared to my broadheads.

I've had to really focus on my form after I got a different bow and thought I needed to change my arrow setup, but keeping the arrows I have and adding some weight up front.

I was thinking they weren't allowed in most of the western states, maybe not. Guess I haven't paid that much attention really.

They legal in Utah I assume then? I was thinking no go in Idaho, Montana, and Colorado.

Non-legal states from Garmin's research: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Florida, and Hawaii. For the remaining states you'll need to research your local laws.

Yes they are legal in Utah. I'm not sure it's the end all be all sight for me as the black gold has been good to me for many years. My hunting partner as had one for a couple years and loves it so much he pitched in on this one for me.

I knew they hadn't been legal in CO, maybe that has changed.

I played with the first model, and it was too slow for me. Haven't given them another look. Like they have come a long ways.

I shot an ASA match last weekend, so my embarrassment was in person and that's with a warm up! Sorry I didn't get any pictures but I'm going to try for the same MER of 54 yards this year.

I too am new to Rokslide and hoping to participate in this challenge. Even if I dont make it, I think I will still do it on the side. 60 has been a tough distance for me, so I believe ill likely go for that.

Anyway, this is a cool idea and I look forward to following along and hopefully participating!

Finally got mostly tuned today. Need to start setting my pins, looks like I just might make it in time for this challenge.
