I found my second favorite game bird behind chukar and my pup found her first. She was on fire with the mearns, and I’d have to say I love how tight they hold.

We are froze up here solid so no more waterfowling for me this year already missing it. Guess its time to chase the roosters. Hope we get this same weather next year got a trip planned to Arkansas.

That's awesome! Arizona I'm guessing?

I'm on a wait list for a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon out of a well known breeder in Oregon. Can't wait to pick up my pup this spring, start training, and doing some hunting with it. Those are a neat looking bird and would make a great mount.

Yes sir, those birds are like nothing I’ve ever seen. I saved one to be mounted. That being said, quail mounts seem to be tough. I rarely see good ones where as I see a lot more good waterfowl mounts.
