I’ve got a couple of bird mounts in my house, nothing special just some grouse and ptarmigan that I like.

I was noticing the other day they are sort of dusty, I can’t be the only one to notice this.

Is there a quick way that’s preferred to clean them off without messing up feathers? I was almost thinking just a gentle wipe with a damp rag?

Thanks!

I use the cans of compressed air. The kind that you use to dust off keyboards and electronics or what not. Works well.

I always take them on the porch and use my pancake air compressor with low air pressure. Then with a damp paper towel I lightly wipe them.

Hair dye/color brush and go in direction of feathers. Feel like it gets a little deeper than a duster/swifter (that I also use)
