Man, there are some studs in this thread! Here's my submission: after nearly 4 years of trying, I was able to take my first archery buck at 16 yards on the ground.
Finally figuring it out in Texas. Spent every Sunday going out with my 7 year old boy to fill feeders and check cameras in a county with low deer numbers. Horns are going in his bedroom for Christmas.
(First Lite Corrugate are my go to for anything outdoors)
Love to see the monsters hitting the ground with traditional equipment! I always planned to do it but could never dedicate enough time to feel comfortable hunting with my recurve.
11-12-20 IL. Rode the high and low rollercoaster of emotions from the release of the arrow and a full day wait to track and recover waiting to put my hands on him.
For what it’s worth I don’t need the gear so if I win I plan on giving to a buddy who would love to have it and put it to good use.
