This my Halloween 2020 Virginia 8 point buck. I shot this buck with a muzzle loader and had a bad hit 1 lung and liver. After tracking the deer about 600 yards over 3 hours only to loose the trail I called my with to bring me our 6 month old duck dog puppy Daisy June a 1/2 black mouth cur and 1/2 lab. I put her on the track from the start and in a half hour we were back at last blood after a few side tracks and another hour and a half we eventually picked up the trail and found the buck dead another 500 yards from the original last blood. My best buck and definitely my best dog out of all that I have had she is the best.

Well this isn’t the best picture of the deer, but one my buddy took this morning that I really like. This is attempting to cross the Choctawhatchee in waders before giving up and going another half mile north to the Jon boat I had used to cross earlier this morning. Sat on the ground in my waders and took either the 2nd or 3rd biggest whitetail of life, and easily the most work to get one out but it was extremely enjoyable. Deboned him on the ground just like I’ve done two elk now, and with a buddy who helped me with my elk. Great day in the woods (errr swamp)!!

2020 Coues Deer, my second one ever and the one I worked hardest for! I spotted him, ran 3/4 or a mile and shot him at 250 yards off the top of of little hill. The trip was a blast and this deer made it even better.
