I was by myself when I shot him. I used the LED light bar on my Kawasaki Mule for lighting and used a little cheapo remote off amazon to control my iPhone camera.

Forgot to get a fancy pic, but got this guy on 10/18. Pitch black & windy, snuck past some buck bedding under 40yds away from me on my way in, set up under 80yds away. A smaller 8pt and this buck came out of the bedding and started browsing through at 8am, big one following a bit behind the smaller one. This guy was a pig, I didn't get a chance to weigh him, but I did get 90lbs of meat back from my processor.

I got 2 weeks off work and another state to try for a better picture

Here's my entry. Yesterday was Halloween, the rut, fresh snow on the ground, and the result was a 214# (dressed) mountain buck from NH. He definitely got the last laugh on the drag out. For anyone who's hunted the mountains of the Northeast, you know how few and far between these guys are. A long time coming for me...

Had a windy Halloween morning here in Iowa so I decided to just sit on the ground in a waterway behind the house. Luckily this guy came right past me while he was checking his scrapes. I dont know who was more excited, me or my daughter after I brought him home.
