2014 Colorado Deer Draw is over - Backdoor open

The site is all jacked up. I just checked and all it showed is site error. They haven't even posted the official sheep draw yet and it was supposed to be posted this morning!

Well, I got my sheep and goat refunds in the mail yesterday and today. So I know those two are official.

I spoke to a CO DoW agent from the Denver office today.

He said official results will be posted 30 May.

I would be very surprised if anything comes up through the "backdoor" ever again. This debacle probably shut that down for good! Even though it wasn't really a "backdoor" like it used to be. I bet from this year on, we"ll get the "pending" right until the official release date.

In internet explorer, right click and select "View Source". You can see your current points in the HTML code. All of mine except deer are updated to 2014, deer still says 0 0 2013.

I do not have any 500 codes showing yet, but elk is the only one I expect to see there and it's probably too soon for that. All the other tags I applied for were longshots. I got my sheep refund yesterday, at least that will make the wife happy to get that money back.

I agree the DPW is probably eliminating the backdoor for next year, I'm sure they are sick of all the phone calls they've been getting since people figured out the deer draw got messed up.

I'm guessing you're correct. It got too much attention this year, and they would not want to broadcast any hiccups in the system. Not really a problem to wait an extra two weeks.

I don't understand why it takes em two weeks to post up the results after the draw is done. They should just update it automatically like the pp were before this fiasco.
Do the draw and post the dam results simple as that!
It would probably save em a ton of phone calls and probably save money in the long run too..

I was told today by a hunt planner that final results for deer and elk wouldn't be posted until the 30th, and to put no faith in what you've seen up to this point.

Then he said..........but that could change. WTF? Talk about screwed up.
