I liked you better when SD was south dakota....................
I guess it's not a tuna boat, but it is a fishing charter boat/whale watching boat apparently.
Should have not called it a tuna boat, my bad on that. I have zero knowledge in tuna.
I just found this on the google from the boat name

For what is worth (absolutely nothing) I thought SD was south dakota as well lol
I was talking about the boat in post #798. Where did you get that it was run out of Dana Point?

Ha! Don’t hold it against me. SD is actually a pretty nice place. Especially if you like to fish tuna!

Ill get over it. Like others I feel so betrayed. :ROFLMAO:
I feel like you have said it before that SD was San Diego.
Selective memory I reckon.

I was talking about the boat in his profile pic on monster muleys. The boat is Dana Pride in that picture.
That boat in #798 from my small knowledge definitely doesn't look like a tuna boat, but again it's not my forte.

Edit: I bet boat in post 798 is his boat in Naples FL that he catches the best and biggest of every variety of fish available gulf and Atlantic side.

Does anyone know if the OP has any recent posts anywhere else? If not this thread could take a turn for the worse. I think we’re all getting a little antsy.

Ahh. The Dana Pride fishes 1/2 day trips. Those are inshore open party. Did our guy really claim ownership of that boat?

Top of page 40 post #781, Ammo transfer thread on monster muleys. There's some fish stories along with the Astin in there.

Both of those that Rusty linked are a good laugh.
Thanks @Rusty Shackelford

No where near as good as this thread though imo.
Seems like he came to the slide and couldn't take this crowd roking his world lol

Somewhere along the threads, there was mention of $10k a weekend made on HIS tuna charter.
I just made the assumption that was the Dana Pride he was probably talking about, since it was his profile picture on muleys.

No one makes real money owning a fishing boat given todays fuel prices, repair/maintenance expenses , slip fees, insurance and labor costs.

I'm sure he'd just say you don't know what you're talking about and don't know how to make real money like he does and has for 40 years.
I can hear it now, "best boat in so cal. Pulls in three ton fish a day. Most people can't fish. I put them on trophy fish for $500 a person an hours. Tips. Can't get that with others dingy operating."

But for real though I'm sure it is a tough business to try to make enough money to live comfortably in California.

Haha! You’re probably right.

Anyone who fishes for a living would tell you it’s a labor of love. There’s a lot easier ways to make a buck. I don’t fish for my livelihood thank goodness! Just for fun these days. I did spend many years in my youth working on boats through high school and college, and the best thing I learned was I didn’t want to work on boats all my life.

Can we get back to the sheep hunt now?
