1/2x28 on that one IIRC, and cut to 20”. I only use two smiths, neither one has an issue cutting and threading them.

Please pm me your smith. I've let go several superlite barrels because no one would touch them. They come up for sale often and I'd love to give one a try at 18".

I have been looking hard at the S20 in 6.5 Creedmoor, but I didn't want to mess with cutting into the flutes. Maybe I will pull the trigger now and have my smith do it.

I have a new acronym - FUQ. Form’s Unanswered Questions. Form isn’t the only one whose questions go unanswered, but I think you get the point. The FUQ replies are typically “I’ve got tags to fill” “I’ve got a wall of dead animals to prove my [usually incoherent] opinion as ‘fact’” etc.
Knowing how much you like to sound out acronyms ... I see what you did there.

Reputable smith's who cut and thread tikkas, off the top of my head:
Lri
Kampfield
Shaen
Pva
Tbac

There are literally hundreds of photos of cut and threaded lite and superlite barrels floating around here.

Could you please use it in a sentence?

I keep circling back to "Fuddfuqer", but I don't know if that's even a thing?? (And I know it's not a sentence)
Great question.

“Here we go again. This will just end with more FUQs.” How’s that? 😎

Kampfeld cut/threaded my 223. He threaded 1/2" and then made a beautiful 5/8" thread adaptor. I believe the barrel size is identical. He's reasonably priced, honest, skilled, and fast.

What length did you need to cut the barrel to get a .4935 major? For some reason I thought the flutes were sub .5000 all the way back to 16".

you think a 6.5CM @ 16" will be work for elk to 300 yards?

Small sample size I know... but my 14yr old son took his bull at 360 yards last week with a tikka 6.5cm cut to 20inches. (With a folding aftermarket stock, it's shorter than a 16 inch barreled rifle). 140eldm at 2650mv broke the front shoulder and went into the lungs. Bull dropped immediately. With the suppressor, the other elk just stood around until we made it across the canyon.
