Who can thread my Tikka T3X Lite 223 for a suppressor (Hyperion)?

This is very helpful. Do you mind sharing your GS?

The last tikka was done by kampfeld but i've sent bare actions purchased online directly to 3 other smiths as well. Any gunsmith that will thread should be an FFL that can receive your rifle and do the work before you ever see it.

Curious to see it,im shipping a few to him hopefully soon,

I had him cut the barrel on my T3X .223 to 18" and thread it 1/2x28. Then add a wider (0.74") base thread adapter to 5/8x24 for my Hyperion. Added a second thread protector for the 1/2x28 for a nice flush barrel. Didn't really need to do that, as the thread protector for the 5/8x24 looks so good. Anyway, beautiful work at an honest price.

Sorry to dredge up an older thread but any suggestions for a decent smith that can do this around Sheridan, WY? I asked a smith in town yesterday about doing the adapter and he looked at me like I had 3 heads.

Yep. I have two with Karl right now.

I also had one done at Mountain Meadow Industrial in Kalispell, MT
How did the Mountain Meadow one turn out? I was looking at using Karl, but I'm in the Flathead so logistics would be easier.

Too bad you can't just take it to the Weatherby factory.

If you look through my post history, check my posts on other threading threads. I have posted pictures.
