Which rail for my Vortex PMR 34mm rings?

WTB Stone Glacier 5900/x curve

If you find a bag, I have an X-curve I’m gonna put up for sale. It’s got a large hip belt though. Has a small accessory pocket on each side of the hip belt. The buckles that attach to pack to the frame were swapped out with auto locks. PM me if you have any interest in it.

Savage 10 Ultralight and Suppressor?

I’ve been running my YHM resonator on my .280 AI no problem. I’m running a YHM QD brake to mount the can on, not direct threading for what it’s worth.

I went with the EGW 0 MOA HD base and Warne mountain tech rings. The EGW HD series is already drilled for the #8 screws. Really happy with the set up.

I did not record velocities. This was about as quick of a range trip as possible, just trying to get it zeroed. I’ll hopefully be able to start developing a load here in a month with a buddy, so I will record it all then.

Here is my first 5 shot group out of my .280 AI. Running a YHM Resonator suppressor. That is with factory Hornady 162 grain ELD-X loads.

I am waiting on my EGW base to get here, then gonna throw a Leupold VX-3i 4.5-15 on top. Need to install/time my muzzle brake so I can throw my suppressor on and get it dialed in. I should be shooting by mid week next week!

What base did you end up getting? I think I’m going to go with the Evolution Gun Works HD that’s drilled for the #8 screws already. I’ve had great luck with EGW products.

AR optics

+1 for the Sig Romeo 5. Great optic in that $100-120 range. I prefer a Trijicon MRO, but that’s quite a bit more. Look on AR15.com or tacswap.com, you can find great deals on both sites!

Apex trigger kit for SW sd40ve

I don’t have any experience with that particular trigger, but I can say that Apex makes phenomenal triggers. I have one in a P320 and two in Glocks. They rock.

Socks

I’ve been trying out the stone glacier socks, so far I love em. I’ll see how they do on some extended trips in terms of stink, etc. I was skeptical about using synthetic socks, but so far they have been great.

Anyone able to purchase one of these yet? I’m still waiting on my .280 AI to get in. I had a chance to handle one in 6.5 Creedmoor today at Scheels. First thought was holy crap this is light. Second thought was the stock definitely seemed to leave some to be desired, but I’ll see how it shoots...

Lowa Tibet vs. Kenetrek Stiffness

I’ve not tried Kenetreks, but my Lowa Tibet highs are the most comfortable boots I’ve used. I’d highly recommend them. I’ve not had a single issue with them beating my feet up, and they’ve held up exceptionally well for how bad I’ve treated them.

I’ve got two pairs I’ve been using hard for the last two years. They are the most comfortable pant I’ve used. I’ve been comfortable in temps upwards of 75, as well as -20 with a good base layer. No durability issues for me so far, hopefully picking up a pair in ash grey pretty soon.
