I've hunted with the same guys forever. We all work to get animals. Regardless of who shoots it. Each guy just does what makes sense for where he's at. Whether it's calling/stay still and shut up or shoot. You gotta all hunt the same and not have anybody greedy for that system to work. Works...
I got my slick bag Friday just in time to try it out scouting this weekend. As with all kifaru stuff it is top notch and very comfortable. I am glad I got the long wide for sure. Although it was definitely warm for this time of year.

I'm 6'1" 250 and just ordered a long wide -20 slick bag. Should have it late next week or early the next. I know I'm shorter but could give you some size reference once I've got it. I was torn on the wide or not since the regular is only 2" narrower than my current bag.

As with anything they're more how resistant rather than water or dust proof. My eberlestock did well at both. Recently got an AGC with the bungee closure but am not sure how well the lid will seal up while moving through the brush. The eberlestock closes up very tight.

I'm gonna be in Ft. Collins over thanksgiving and want to shoot some prairie dogs but have no idea where to go. If somebody could just point me in the right direction it would me much appreciated.

I'll be hunting off the haul road this august. Just curious if anyone has input on whether or not a guy needs a 4 or 3 season tent. Would like to do a 3 for weight reasons. I'm just unsure of it withstanding wind.

We're gonna be north of the brooks caribou hunting. Since you've been up there what do you recommend boot wise? I've been told everything from regular gore tex boots to rubber boots to waders. I'm taking my entire arsenal of boots and make my decision when I get there I guess.
Most of my back packing experience is 4 days or less. I always carry one full change of clothes plus socks and boxers for every day. My issue is Im going on an 8 day hunt in August 200 miles north of the arctic circle and can't decide what to take for clothes. Here's what I'm coming up with. One...
I recently bought an AMR for the specific purpose of long duration hunts. The more and more I mess with the more I think a nomad/grab it/guide lid would be the ultimate day pack and out you at 3900 CI plus whatever belt pouches and such you want. Attach the grab it in the high position for...
I simply put my cell number on my stuff. If someone honest finds it they can call me. Not like my phone number is a secret. I've got lots of cards floating around out there. If someone dishonest finds if I guess I lost that gear.
I killed a muley and a bull with trocars this year. Both complete pass throughs and quick kills. I even shot at several grouse on the ground and hit rocks with minimal damage to the blades. Not as tough as the montecs bug a good broad head with a larger cut.
