Ordered a pair of Crispis and conditioning cream. Boots showed up quick but no cream. Reached out to them inquiring about the cream. They said it got missed on the order and wanted to know if I still wanted it. I told them yes. Still no cream. Its been 3 weeks.
Update on this, I got a shipping notification today for this.

1) Paul aka Boltfulter at Pro Precision Rifles. Outstanding barrel and bolt fluting services. He does some of the cleanest flutes I’ve ever seen with virtually no tooling marks. One man shop and a bit old fashioned in that you send a check in with your parts and order form. I can give him the idea of what I want and let him use his experience to work out the details to get it done. If he’s got questions he’ll call you. Good turnaround time.

2) Brian at PuckerFactor. Very good communication and seemingly no shortage of time to discuss a project. Timely turnarounds. He generally picks up the phone and if he can’t he’ll get with you shortly.

First Lite - Were extremely prompt in helping me with sizing on some items as I was between some of their recommendations on the size chart.

Then the package was either mis-delivered, or most likely stolen (yay city life, my neighbors suck), and they were able to send a replacement order right away.

I bought a Fenwick Flyrod in Bozeman two years ago at Bob Wards. Got the receipt and put it my son's glovebox. 2 days later I'm fishing the Gallatin and stumble on some rocks and fall - breaking my rod. I go home, call my son a week later and ask for the receipt to be sent to me. He threw it away while cleaning out his car. Dang! Ended up contacting Fenwick anyway. Sent them a picture of the broken rod and told them about stumbling on rocks and the receipt being thrown away. Told them the date I purchased the rod and where I purchased it. They sent me a new rod. Thought that was pretty good. Kept a loyal customer by doing that for me.
I have had a few Aetos break, one the first day I used it, probably from someone slapping the tip into the roof at the store. And a second one my buddys dog snapped. The first time it was a hassle because sportsmans was responsible for replacing it. The second time, I was told by fenwick they were on backorder for 3 months. Had a full replacement and the newest design in 4 days. I usually refuse to buy any chinese crap, but that fenwick aetos is by far the best thing coming out of china, and for less than 300 dollars will outperform any rod I have fished under a grand.

Great experience with Huber triggers. I've had mine in a box for a few years after I stupidly switched to single stage triggers for no reason. I called up the owner and sent it to him to be cleaned and have a bolt stop lever added to it since it had been on a Mausingfield and I wanted to put it back on an R700. Extremely quick turnaround and he even tuned it a little to make it even better.

Poor one at Sportsman's Warehouse. I got one of the dumb little Bear bows as the packaging implied adjustable draw length and weight. Neither was true. They would not take it back because the $30 dollar toy was a "bow." I had a Diamond Atomic in hand to buy when they told me that. I put it back on the shelf and spent an extra $50 to get the Atomic from the archery shop next door on principle.

I also will think very hard before ever buying any Bear Archery product, ever as I think pretty poorly of intentionally misleading advertising.

Scheels may have recently changed their policy, but I had a pair of kenetreks that I wore for one fall of pronghorn, deer, and elk hunting. They probably had 300 miles on them and were destroying my feer every time I wore them, even for a mile. Took them to scheels without a receipt, explained the situation (the footwear guys all remembered me from chatting them up 6 months prior), and gave me full credit on them to use on any other pair of boots I wanted.

I was looking at one of those for my 5 year old nephew. He has it pretty rough, and I wanted to get something for him other than electronic B.S. I knew it had to be junk. Thanks for confirming.

Their warranty is kind of laughable. They refuse to fix a rod under warranty but will do so for $50 and 8-12 weeks. They will no longer be getting any of my money.

Was it a manager that wouldnt let you return it? If not, try taking it back again. Most of the time its someone that doesnt know anything. It has always amazed me how many people think they are saving the world with a basic retail job.

I once had a cashier adamant that we had to do a background check on a muzzleloader. I had worked there for 5 years, she had been there 5 weeks. Wouldnt believe me and ended up having to get a manager involved. It was stupid.

The person said they asked the manager and the manager said it could not be returned. The cashier was initially under the impression that the return would not be an issue.

Signed up for MyOutdoorTV last weekend and watched the first 2 seasons of the Western Hunter over the past week. Went to login on a new computer and saw a 50% off offer using code JULY4. I emailed CS and they told me they couldn't add it to my current trial membership but said I could cancel it and sign up for a new membership with the code. Pretty sweet!

Also waiting on the KS resident elk draw, which we were emailed on 6/19 that we'd know results by 6/30. I emailed them yesterday and got a response today that "We are hoping to have this completed by July 19th." When i asked what happened to results by 6/30, she stated, "We had a lot of applicants mark the box as Military and we had to verify each and everyone. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Couple small ones, but:

I bought a Hawke Nature Trek compact spotter off the classifieds and whether it was me or the previous owner, after playing with it for a bit I noticed the snap was pulling off the neoprene for the objective lens cover. Emailed Hawke and they replied asking for an address to send the replacement.

Also bought some Maven B.5 15x56s (binos only) off the classifieds that had just been in for warranty service so the glass was fresh and spotless. Ordered lens filters and covers to try and keep them that way and asked them if they'd throw in the microfiber bag that is included with new binos since it was not for sale separately and they threw it in with my order for no charge.

Jack Links Beef Jerky.

I ordered a box (20 count) of Teriyaki Beef Sticks, along with 3 lbs. of their Peppered Beef Jerky, for National Jerky Day last month. Their Jerky is truly excellent...tender, flavorful and with the right amount of pepper for our taste. I must say I was pleasantly surprised on their jerky given how much they advertise, but their TBS's just didn't cut it for us. A, maybe, slightly better Slim Jim.

Anyhoo, I looked on their web site and they have offer a 14 day 100% money back guarantee, but I was over the 14 days by a week so I email them late last night. When I checked my email this a.m. there was a reply from their CS saying sorry for the problem and issuing a refund. No BS, no runaround just good CS.

Thank you Jack Links.

My son dropped my Leica 2800.com and broke the glass inside the unit. I bought the rangefinder used off this forum. It still worked, but i didn't trust it. Sent it back to Leica and I had a brand new one on my doorstep no questions asked. Took about 3 months.

BOTE, inflatable paddle board company. Used a paddle board that was given to me for Christmas for the second time this year. The stabilizing fin snapped in half after a very minor bump against the beach. The inevitable type of bump that happens multiple times a day to my surf boards and other paddle boards. Reached out to BOTE, and got an email telling me how to purchase a replacement. Was a little off putting to have to buy a 40 dollar fin for a more or less new board.

Thuren Fabrication has the best customer service I've dealt with in a long time. I emailed about some replacement wear parts on an old truck that has been heavily modified. I wasn't certain that the worn parts were made by Thuren because there aren't any markings to be found, and there is a mix of Thuren and Carli parts on this truck. Their customer service guy emailed me back and forth and offered to send photos and measurements if I needed them. All for $28 worth of parts.

I actually felt bad about asking the follow up questions because they were going to lose money on the deal by the time they covered the costs of the parts, free shipping, and the customer service time. Anyway, the replacement parts fit perfectly. I'll be ordering from them again.

Big props to Spartan Precision Equipment. I purchased an Arca Adapter so I could also use the tripod for some of my photography as well as my hunting needs. Adapter arrived and I was bummed that it did not open wide enough to accommodate my RRS or Kirk lens feet. I was disappointed, but not crushed as it was just part of a larger order and thought it was worth a try.

I did contact them via email (June 19) and they responded that they would build a new version. I wasn't holding my breath, but was happy that they did respond to me. Fast forward to today when I got back from a few days on the road for work and there was a new version sitting in my mailbox. It works great and no charge to me.

Spartan PE gets two thumbs up from me and looking forward to purchasing from them in the future. Much appreciated Hannah at Spartan, great customer service.
