Your first deer rifle?

M77 tang safety. 7mm rem mag. Shot a few deer with it. Still have it and shoot it occasionally.

Savage 99 250-3000. Killed a whitetail doe the first year I carried it. I sold it a couple years later to buy a Ruger 77 tang safety, which i still have. Wish I would have kept the 99 though.

First center fire was a Winchester 770 in 222. Bought it from an old man neighbor. First deer rifle was a Savage 111F 25-06 $350 new. Still have them both.

LoL I do know. My dad paid 200.00 for it and a box of ammo from a guy he worked with.

Yeah I didn't know what I had back then. I tried to track it down and buy it back, with no luck, but I was able to buy another just like it a few years ago.

I shot a friends Winchester model 88 in 284 and it kicked like a mule. Hows the recoil in the 99?

Winchester 94, never could hit anything with it. Bought Sako 7mm mag for next 25 years. Killed many deer. Then Abolt 30 06 in which I wore out the barrel. Rebarreled and have 7 shots, 7 kills this season after zeroing.

My first deer gun was a mossberg 835. I got it for Christmas when I was 15. Still using it now 27 years later. Can't use rifle in MA for deer.

That was first shotgun I bought myself at 14. Later got a rifled barrel for it. Couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn with sabots. Recoil was the big issue. Never shot a deer with it but Killed lots of ducks with till I retired it and give to my cousin who want to start duck hunting with me.
