Sig Cross Sawtooth 6.5prc - first impressions

I’m really torn between the 6.5 CM and PRC chambering of the Cross Sawtooth. Any opinions on which way to go, if my max hunting distance is 600 (realistically, probably won’t shoot past 400-450)? Is the extra recoil worth the velocity (I’m guessing around 350fps, factoring in barrel length)? I also like the handier 18” barrel in the CM since it’ll be suppressed, but maybe that doesn’t matter that much, given it folds?
I would never want to rely on a Creed for big bulls. 6.5 PRC is barely barely adequate. That being said Ive killed 2 cows and a few mature muleys with my PRC but Im shooting 147 eldms and cooking them at almost 3100fps. But I built a custom 7 Saum as my main elk gun now. I just have seen to many bulls soak up lead and still go a mile into deep dark canyons to warrant anything smaller.

I bought the 6.5 PRC Sawtooth this year and used on a mule deer hunt. I took a buck at 331 yards and was happy with the bullet performance. After shooting 5 different factory loads I settled on the 143 gr Norma Bondstrike. All shot sub MOA and 3 shot sub .5 MOA. None of the factory rounds shot over 2850 fps on the chrono with the 22 inch barrel. Im looking to hand load in the future to gain more effective rage. The bond strike averages 2780 fps.
