I was given a $500 gift card and sold my Vipers and now I'm going to buy a new pair of binos. I have right around $1,000, I was leaning towards the Vortex Razor Hd's or maybe the Cabelas Eruos. And suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

Would it make a difference if they had a pair of the Cabelas Euros in the bargain cave for $750?

If they are the one made by meopta, that's a really good deal for really good glass.

Watch for a sale on the euro/instinct (Meopta Meostar) line. Sometime they run a sale around 20% off especially with the holidays. I think this line competes well with the Slc. There was a pair of conquests on the archery talk forum for $725 as an option if you go that way.

SLCs on sale! They are amazing (I upgraded from razor. Otherwise, Razor or Meopta at the $1000 price point. General consensus is that the Meopta glass is better, but the Vortex warranty is better.

Grab those Euros in the bargain cave! I bought a pair this spring and love them.
Compared with SLC's and the only thing I could tell was the SLC were a touch brighter in low light situations. If I had unlimited funds I'd buy SLC's, but for $750 the Euros are a steal. I would never pay another $850 for the SLC's if I could get the Euros for $750. That's me though.

If you want SLC's the 8x42 (Demo's) are $1299 at Natchez... but the Euro's are a good deal. What will you be happy with!

Sorry, forgot you have to buy at Cabelas. Get the Euro's!

I think I'm going to try to head up there tomorrow and snap a picture of them and put it on here to make sure. They will not let me bring them back and they have no warranty. Kinda sketchy!

If you have the spend the 500 at Cabelas then I would go with the Conquest HD's. Extremely sharp. If you can spend the 500 on something else and save the extra cash, I would save for some used Swaro's or Leica's. I saved, and sold a bunch of stuff to get my used Leica Ultravids. But I would not even be disappointed at all with Conquests.

Well i went today and narrowed it down to these three. The Euros that are $750 are the old ones. They have three pair of these for $832, the Zeiss and one pair of Leicas.
