I have the non-hd Meopta 12x50s and have no complaints. Same bino as the Euro non-hd that you have pictured. As far as the Leicas, Euro Optic has the older Trinovid models that ran about 16-1700 for 999 now since the new hd models came out. The newer hd Trinovid is about 700 dollars cheaper than the old so I can't see them being as good as the old models. (maybe, maybe not)

However, Cabelas does discount their euro binos from time to time and snagging a set of the new HD model would be a good decision.

I got the Meoptas and they are great glass. You wont notice the difference compared the swaros in most conditions and they have a great warranty.

I recently upgraded my Binos from a pair of older Pentax DCF 10x42's I thought they were just fine until I looked at some newer glass.

I went to Cabelas and spent quite a bit of time outside at dusk with three binos. I looked at three 10x42 binos (Vortex Razors, Cabelas Euro HD's and the Zeiss Conquest HD's)

It was rather easy to see that the Razors were not the equal of the two others. They were eliminated quickly. They were the most expensive and easily the least brightest of the three. At dusk they were just not as clear as the other two.
It was really close between the Cabelas HD and the Zeiss HD.

It took another couple sessions of going back and forth to try to separate them. There were a few things that stood out to my eyes. Others mileage may vary. The Zeiss had a more natural color and were just a bit brighter and marginally clearer right at dusk. The ergonomics of the Conquest for me worked much better in my hands.

The Cabela Euro HD's had a bit of a warmer tint almost yellowish that made things look a bit unnatural compared to the Zeiss Conquests.
I did not care for the wider ergonomics of the Euro Hd's as they were bulkier.

Cabelas was also offering 150.00 back in club points on the Conquests so they were the least expensive. To me the Conquests were a no brainer. The only thing I don't like is the narrow focus band but once you dial it in the image quality is exceptional for a bino in this class.

I was out hunting last weekend with a friend who has some EL's. He looked through mine a few times and said they were dang nice binos for under a grand. I'll have to agree.
