The color makes me think there was some shock from going indoors to full sun. Keep giving them good deep water and let it dry out some between waterings. When they push out new growth it should be deeper green and not have that burn.

I've been watering every other day, sometimes every 4 days.

One thing I can say for sure is, they demand full sun. I planted 2 to climb my pergola, one never made the top because it had partial shade. The other climbed and roofed the top, but then got partial shade as a couple trees expanded and it's mostly done for now.

Do not plant it anywhere there is lattice work. You will eventually regret that and want to burn your yard down.
