If they want to hunt can’t they hunt where they live? Life is about choices and I choose to live where I can hunt out my back door . Might not be elk or sheep but I get to hunt. It’s also on what people want to spend money on I know people who saved for years to go hunt Alaska or some other hunt instead of vacations and eating out.Same and that makes me sick. I’m not a fan of the outfitting business to begin with and am more of a believer in that if you want to go kill something, you should be able to accomplish it yourself.
On top of that the price to play comes along. People well off will be able to hunt every year, it’s like that some places already. While the middle class will struggle and not make it out all that much. Some people are okay with that, I personally am not. I don’t see how a guy or gal working 60 hours a week shouldn’t be able to reasonably afford to spend their time off hunting.
I will likely never hunt alaska for anything that requires a guide. My wife and I have decent jobs and both work full time. The price to play is just out of our league
