Simple supply and demand. Hate seeing it, but I understand. I'm just hopeful state DNR's use the money wisely for the longevity of the species...and not to supply wolves and ban furbearer seasons...

Not a great analogy, cause those cost aren’t the same as fee cost. Someone can’t resale their fees to someone, however, someone can resale those other items. Since it’s their wildlife that they’re so concerned with managing, they should have more skin in the game.Only blame ourselves, too many 'grip and grin photos'.......
Quit whining and put the work in. If you want to be cheap, hunt somewhere else. Guys will spend $750 on a pack, $1200 on a bow, $1000 on clothing, $300 on boots, $2000 on binos and then complain about a $75 fee.
I dont want to pay these exorbitated prices and I cant afford to, yet i still want to explore out west, once i burn through all the pp i have accumulated etc. I just may explore the west with a fishing pole in my hand vs a gun, seems cheaper
There is a difference. The pp fee is just another way of putting off raising the cost of the actual tag

Just to clarify, i was quoting another post which comes up as if it was mine. There is a difference.
When you spend the money on the tag regardless of the price, that means you are going hunting, which is the goal.
When you spend the same money over the years for a handful of points you've got......well, a number on your screen. They don't even send you flowers. No hunt and no promise of a hunt. Just a number. And they can change the rules about that number at any time.
I'm big on that we pay to play. Hunting is a luxury.Ok. What’s your thought now that you see the new prices.
I apply to a few.
Tell that to the poor bastards that are holding 20 years of useless moose points.I'm big on that we pay to play. Hunting is a luxury.
You are catching me on tail end of my western hunting. Been on 3 trips, 2 DIY and 1 guided (due to point creep wasting couple years of time).
Might have 1 more trip in the mix. Yes, will be collecting WY points til then. Will be maybe 6-7-8-9 points in. At this point I see it as a cost of doing business - no way would I be able to go in 3-4-5-6 years if I don't have the points. So, it is either get em or don't have the option.
Nothing wrong with wanting to go hunting. Just plan it out and do what you can.
Just like hot chicks can get the simps on the internet to pay for their lifestyle by flashing a little T & A, Wyoming shows a 400” bull with a Teton in the background and the pp $$$ rolls in!“This increase is a way of preserving a way of life that we love,” Masterson said.
Completely on brand for Wyo to look to non residents to fund their way of life. Rugged individualism ends the split second the bill comes due and its non residents and the federal government that pick up the tab.
There's plenty of private land opportunity for those who want to pay to play. Public animals on public land shouldn't be pay to play.I'm big on that we pay to play. Hunting is a luxury.
Then raise the tag prices!
Raising the PP fee has a higher level of suck.
I agree, If the funding has to go up, I'd rather see it in tag cost, than points and fees. points that may or may not ever result in a tag, or that could be lost if you go a couple of years and can't afford them. There is a difference.

I agree. Let's do it.If you all want WY to quit with preference points then you need to quit buying them.
As long as it generates revenue there not gonna turn back.
The only way is to vote by not spending your dollars with them. And that will force them to do something different.
