Wyoming Draw

Not being passive aggressive but why should he spend time going to get the link for you?
Reciprocity, its a critical aspect of masculine society that is quickly being lost due to an abundance of weak and feminine "men." You treat people with basic respect and it generally gets returned. If you know where to look it only takes a second to post a link.

For anyone else who doesn't know where to look, I stumbled upon it by mistake. https://wgfd.wyo.gov/licenses-applications/draw-results-odds

Bull S Gen - Neg
Cow 110 - Neg

Am I wrong to be surprised I didn't get a cow tag? Were the number of tags decreased? Did the number of applicants increase? Do you have that data yet?
My brother-in-law put in for a cow tag as well. It had been 100% draw last few years. He didn't get drawn either...

And when you don’t, you get none in return.

Now that you know where to look, you can avoid applying without knowing quotas and approximate odds. Yes, you are wrong to be surprised at not drawing that cow tag.

So it appears the price increase has tempered the point creep?

Just looking at the Gen Tags, it appears the increase in price plus people realizing that hunting in the east is pointless unless you’re on private has changed things a bit.

1/2 the gen tags creeped, half the gen tags regressed

Basic respect is not using feminine put downs when it suits you. Showed your colors for all to see.
Masculine society, LMFAO.

Now I’m waiting for my Wyo fishing license that comes along with the elk tag
Our water situation is looking bleak down here, on the little creek we usually fish. I'm afraid the browns will not make it through Summer.

So it appears the price increase has tempered the point creep?

So I looked at all the Type 9 (archery only tags) for bull or any elk units (I did not look at antlerless Type 9 tags) and generally we still saw about 1+ point of point creep from 2024 to 2025. That's nuts.

Were all the tag allotments the same in ‘24 and ‘25?

I still can't find the Job Completion Reports on the website. Still only showing reports from 2023 and back. I need to call the office tomorrow to inquire.

I didn't go into that detail.

I did notice though that there were multiple situations where the quota was 1 but they issued 3 tags, I presume because a party drew together. Kind of a good way to scam Wyoming out of extra tags if you have the scrilla.

No scam. Wyoming doesn't have to allow party apps. They just want the extra $$.
Nothing to do with "wanting the extra $$".

Wyoming does not split up a party. If a parties "number is drawn" then all members of the party will be issued a license, even if it exceds the license quota for that hunt area. That is why up to 5 licenses over the quota could be issued in a hunt area.

That is also the reason they only party applications for elk, deer and antelope.

I guess that's one way to look at it.

You're saying the party application is just benevolence on the part of WGF to keep friends and family together on their hunt but I don't agree. I think every single tag decision made by the WG&F or the legislature regarding non-residents has to do with money. And why wouldn't it? It's a primary source of income and crucial to their budget. The NR party app allowing tag numbers to exceed quota is just a bonus.

And to be clear, I'm not being critical of Wyoming. All states, especially western states, look at NR tags this way. Wyoming is just good at it because they have such a good product to sell and a limited resident population.
