I almost wonder if they wouldn't be better served by dumping non-resident antelope licenses all together.

Bump up the resident prices and dump NR. Go for it.

They are starting to be jerks down here over the osceola turkeys - want to cut the NR tags. Can see how it pisses someone off to drive by a hunting place on the way to work and not be able to hunt it but every 5 years cause of NR hunters.

What they need to do is shut down the season for a couple of years and let them recover but most guys won't let that happen. "gotta hunt" of will die. LoL!

Not sure if the last paragraph was in reference to FL turkey or WY goats. But, the problem is not turkey populations in FL. The issue is that NR aren't capped at a certain % on public land draw hunts. In a state with 20+ million people it is ridiculous that on south Florida WMAs non-residents are out numbering residents 2:1. I have the data and would be happy to share if you'd like.

Pathfinder - that be me and my family. We really never put in for hunts in the western states unless we know we can draw. Saves on application fees that they stick you for one thing. We have all the hunting we have time for, for now. Hope I live long enough to see all thier points purged. Lots of good times ahead.
However, I put in for all the big three hunts and will deal with that if I ever hit the lottery.

I'll be burning my points for Antelope (11) in Wyoming this year on a lesser unit, my hunting partner is getting up there in years and we just want to go hunt and if a trophy animal appears we'll take it, it not we'll enjoy the hunt and get out of the Points game.

I live in FL. Deaf, not into turkeys. 3+ yrs wait for a nearby deer quota permit. Cant even go duck hunting anymore cause of fwc spraying all the weeds.

Everyone has their buttons. You would eliminate nr for a turkey and wy guy would eliminate nr for antelope. Shame we all cant find a balance.

The last paragraph was about wy antelope.

From what I’ve seen Pronghorn is viewed by a lot of residents as a second class big game animal and they don’t usually get a fraction of attention deer or elk tags do. I’m not sure there would be much gain to be had there.

That is not a thing. The reason they don't get attention is because they can't draw tags.

Any good yellow high BLM unit on a map has 300%-700% more applicants in the resident pool than tags.

I have 8, and I'm not waiting. I have a few units in mind, and I'm going. Odds for WY have been going down for awhile now. Also, I'd pay little attention to all the doom and gloom on the internet. Seriously, when is the last time you ever saw anyone post anything positive about unit numbers on the modern day internet. Sure, numbers are down in some areas, but research will sift through he BS.

I have 7 PPs, not sure if I’ll apply or not, even though I have access to a big ranch.
I’ll draw a Wyo elk tag and probably deer again.
