Do they make alarms that are triggered by the temp inside of the freezer, rather than whether or not electricity is going into the unit? If yes, please suggest one!

Scoot, I use the Mocreo system I got on Amazon and am very pleased. You can monitor multiple (I have 4) freezers from your phone. It's very reassuring when we're away. One thing I really like is the freezers sensor modules seem to have incredible battery life (rechargeable). Wifi's right into your router. All 4 freezers right now are between -10.3 and -16.6.
