They are just doing their wolfy thing.
Definition of Wolfy thing:
Hunting, Killing, eating, making more little wolfys to:
Hunt, Kill, eat and make more little wolfys to :

The Pack is going to grow, its needs will also grow, sooner or later what the wolfs needs will surpass what the rancher is willing to sacrifice and something will have to be done on a permeant level.
Bleeding heart or not the Rancher will reduce the number of wolfs to balance out to what he is willing to sacrifice to the number of wolfs.

As I said, within a decade they'll likely have a direct and indirect impact on most western states within the Rocky Mountain complex. I read an article from ID biologists last night recommending mountain lion quotas be cut in wolf regions and soon to be wolf regions because of the negative affect that they have on their populations.
