We cut meat and did European mounts during our “atmospheric river” where we got an inch + of rain below 5ish feet and a ton of wet snow above 5500ft.

Yesterday I went with my oldest son to his prime spot. It’s a BIG hunt. 0300 wake up call and 3hrs of hiking with the headlamp through a classic NW MT jungle of soaking wet brush, downfall, regen and yes… f-cking Devils Club. We did over 15mi and 3000vert. Found some snow too. Passed on three 4pts, saw 4 bulls and heard the wolves. My ass was dragging when we got back to the truck at 2000.

Today was a solo “recovery” hunt. 6mi and 2600vert. Passed on 2 dinks.

Going back out with the big boy tomorrow.

Every 3 minutes, for 15 minutes (5 sets):
Strict Press x 8 reps

For sets 1-4, try to establish your 8-RM. For set 5, decrease the load by 15% or so and get as many reps as possible.
