Hiked 700vert with 30lb pack plus my 2.5gal sprayer.

Warmed up with 3 sets then

10 sets, no rest
Barbell Snatch- 85 x 5
Barbell Step Ups- 85 x 5ea
Pull Up- x 10
Knees 2 Elbows- x 5

I may make a separate thread about the Garmin watch the wife and kids got me. Accurate on runs/hikes, not worth a shit working out. It simply doesn’t read HR consistently.

Which one? I've been looking at upgrading my Fenix 5.
Forerunner 255.
It’s really good running/hiking, even treadmill. But doing the circuits… I’ll be over 180, then it will simply not read, then I’ll be around the 70s. And if I’m in the 70s at that level of output, I’m either a zombie, or I’m the most in-shape man on the planet. Sweating like hell must interfere with the sensor. I’m a little pissed about it.

I've got a Garmin Instinct Solar- it does pretty good with heart rates, including the gym. But it has some quirks—if you're not tracking via gps AND using trekking poles, it might show 5 miles on a 20 mile day. I believe this is due to your arms not swinging normally like you would hiking or running. Also when not actively tracking, it shows flights of stairs which should roughly equate to ~10'/floor. Once in a while it will accurately approximate my elevation gain, but probably 30-40% of the time it will "freeze up" and be stuck on a certain number of flights and not budge. I've had outings where I've gained 2-3000' and it would show 22 flights or some stupid thing.

Luckily if I want to know true distance (w/ trekking poles) and elevation, tracking w/ gps is accurate.
