Another 700vert hike with 60lbs
Some asked if my oldest son was going again for mule deer… He was gone for 27hrs. Shot a freak 6x9 in full velvet early yesterday. I should get better pics. He has nuts, so not a true stag, but something ain’t firing on all cylinders. Horns are still soft and took some damage after the shot. Heavy bases, super tall, long, long tops, narrow spread and a couple drop tines. Super cool. I have a good friend that is a taxidermist that is going to figure out if we strip it and repair, salvage the velvet, etc.
