Yesterday- Got cracked by the chiropractor at 0730, hiked the rest of the day. Covered a lot of winter range with well over 2000 vert and a lot of looking through the 15s. Tons of elk/sheep/deer. 50 and sunny.

we were 55 degrees yesterday (central Montana) preceded by several days in the 40's- small skiff a snow today (and highs in the low 30's), but we've definitely lost a fair bit of snow here
Yeah. Definitely the nicest February week of weather that we’ve had in MT for several years. Literally not a cloud in the sky and 50s. Not much better hiking weather

Same hike as I did last Sunday, but went with my better half today. Snow was pretty trashy up higher, >2000 vert. MT can’t get any better than when you hike and you’re not sweating, or cold. Perfect day. The last week+ has been absolutely awesome February weather.
Saw the same 6 horns as Sunday, still attached to mulie heads. The big buck is a damn nice buck for this area. Within a couple hundred yards as Sunday… We’ll be doing the hike again soon.
Don’t worry, that’s not a white wolf in the pic.
