Another long day- 12 miles (2200'); miserable morning- rained three straight hours, then turned to wet snow- chilled to the bone. Fortunately the precip quit and the sun showed itself. Unfortunately didn't connect with an elk.

Cut up the second half of my youngest son’s bull this morning while it was raining.

This afternoon my youngest and I went on an easy 3.5mi loop glassing for deer. No bucks, but this sleeper hunt that is overlooked by everyone has produced 3 old, dark horned, non-typicals for me and my boys over the last 3 seasons. My oldest went to a different area and spotted a shooter.

It’s the patented “Haven’t lifted for a while, so I’m going to hit everything and wade back into it” routine.
It works, but nobody is going to get rich selling it on an infomercial with Billy Blanks and Shaun T.
