29 miles, $hit ton of elevation, heavy packs and snow, a couple of hours of digging and wrestling chains on, but my buddy shot his first buck deer- so worth a little pain and suffering

I'd be really careful with that 50# ruck run. That's a lot of stress and impact to be putting on your joints.
^^^What this guy said. DO NOT try to "run" with a ruck on!!!

As someone with 4 bulging discs, trust me when I say this.... you want to protect your back by making wise decisions. Running.. with a weighted ruck on... as a form of exercise, would be very foolish for the longevity of your lumbar discs. And hips, And knees, And ankles.

Instead of running with a ruck on. Just up the weight of that ruck and fast-walk that same loop around. With Outdoorsman's Atlas trainer you can put on 90# (2 x 45Lbs).
