Williams front sight too tall

I ordered a Williams fp and willliams firesight for my knight disc extreme. I called Williams to see what parts would work best. The front sight they sent is too tall to work with the hood and may be taller than necessary even with out the hood.

Does anyone know what size front sight insert will work well?

Holy crap that is tall! I use a .343N

Did you shoot it with those sights? It might zero where you need it with that height. If those work, just ditch the front site hood. You wouldn't want to get a different height if it won't zero.

I didn't shoot it yet. I'll do that before I switch it out.

Can you contact the dealer and let them know the error? The sight height should be tagged in the package also, The sight height should also be stamped on the bottom of the sight. But it looks like to me that you have a insert in the range of .570W. I doubt very much you will be able to get the bullet impact up where you want it.

Shoot then you will not have a problem at all - ask for Steve or dial his 800 530-9028 extension #228 and tell him what you ordered and what you received - he will take care of it in a heart beat...

I got this set up with the front sight sabotloader recommended. It is ready to go for the muzzleloader tag I was lucky enough to get for bull elk in a couple weeks.
