Will 6 Creedmoor go the way of 7 SAUM?

Less and less factory rifle offerings are available in 6 Creedmoor. Will 6 Creed become a niche cartridge like 7 SAUM? 2 of the best cartridges ever but they are becoming reduced to custom builds and a cult following. Will there be a new factory 6mm or will .243 Winchester remain the only widely available cartridge? Will there be a 7mm short action magnum to compete with 7PRC? Will 6.5 PRC still be around in 25 years?

Fleet farm in small midwest towns has a wide selection of 6 creed. Pretty good sign it will be around for a bit.

Most ppl fought the 6mm cartridges for a long time (Hornady included). Moving forward they will only gain in popularity, now that they are more widely accepted by consumers and manufacturers.

It doesn't matter. If support disappears for 6 Creedmoor, it will be on a timeline beyond the barrel life we get from this chambering and we can just choose our next barrel to be whatever 6mm we want. 6GT, 6XC, .243 Win, 6 Dasher, potayto, patahto...

I'm seeing 6cm offerings all over the place, and no real comparison to 7saum at all. I really like my 6cm, its an excellent cartridge that improves in some ways on the perennially popular .243

In my part of the world, it is the current current craze with day and nighttime coyote callers.
IMO it’s here to stay.

What’s a 7 Saum?

The 6CM just needs to get ahead of the man bun hater branding the 6.5CM suffers, latch on to the honey badger or wolverine or something the boomers can’t not like. The other CMs don’t even really to exist, 6CM covers prairie dogs to giraffes.
