It’s worth noting that Lauren Boebert is the Republican State Representative for the district in which Kevin resides, and Seek Outside is located.

I think Lauren Boebert is an embarrassment, but I would definitely listen to the podcast if Kevin invited her on… I mean if he’s still doing them after this, and if he’s “naturally curious” in hearing what she has to say just like he was with Busse.
Why Boebert, she doesn’t know anything. If they want to have a rebuttal podcast at least get someone who can speak with facts.

Although I highly doubt a rebuttal is coming and I personally don’t care. SO is on the pile of companies who are dead to me.

I've been in sales for 35 years. Run my own business for 12 years. I never talk politics, religion, sexual preference, or entertainment with clients. I've successfully never lost a client over those years for any of these reasons that I am aware of. The fact some of these companies elect to make these types of decisions seems very strange to me. Nothing really to add to this thread just sitting back quietly shaking my head.
Exactly.

You can buy the same headlamp Peax sells for next to nothing but without the Peax branding and thus not helping pay influencers. I’m sure the tent they “make” can be had somewhere else also
Dm me the link, I’d love to get it!

I could be wrong but it seems like a lot of the posters that are willing to give SO/Kevin a pass are from Colorado. Two things come to mind from that observation (which could be a wrong observation). Maybe that is why Colorado is the next WA, OR, CA? Hunters in Colorado are willing to compromise. Curious where compromising has gotten hunters and 2A supporters?

Or maybe it's because SO is a Colorado company?

After seeing what happened and is happening on the coast, it seems obvious what playbook not to follow. But hunters in Colorado are willing to follow the same playbook the coast followed. Interesting.

Here is a law in Washington. Colorado you are next. You are super low hanging fruit. Especially when saying anti 2A stuff doesn't matter.

"The state defines “transfers” of firearms as more than just a transaction that changes ownership of the gun. Even loaning your pistol to a friend or other temporary changes in possession of the firearm requires a licensed firearms dealer to perform a background check before you can proceed."
I’m a Co native, bought my first SO setup after a deployment from Afghanistan, was going to get another smaller/ lighter shelter for this season but I’m out. I could care less where your company is based if you are deciding to stand against freedom I’ll pass. I will say Co has been flooded by “progressive” thinkers for the last 10+ years hence the wolves getting introduced and attacks on 2A… state legislature just decided to allow counties to ban shooting in rural areas (even on private land) im worried this could kill even more hunting on the front range… Co is in rough shape, don’t know how we can ever steer away the ship in the right direction

Lauren Boebert is a joke, look at how close the margin was in her re-election in a district that has probably 66-75% Republican voters.

I would like to hear her address the wolves that will be released into her district. I have not found her stance yet outside of what to do after they are here…. Might be a good podcast!

I'm certainly not defending SO but I think giving airtime to a well-publicized poacher poses more of an immediate risk to my lifestyle than giving it to a lefty whacko.
It doesn’t. Bowmar is a stain on hunting, but I don’t think he wants to take anything from you. Busse is actively working against the 2nd and affiliated with well heeled groups. It’s very different.

I’m kinda surprised anyone is surprised. :)
I’ve read Kevin’s posts on here and he always came across as a backpacker who dabbled in hunting. I never got the impression there was a ton of hunting experience behind his posts. IE one of the new age BHA “hunters”. No surprise he feels the way he does.

Every man alive in areas that has internet, has the right to share his opinion on social media. If he invokes that right, everything that results from it is on him.

Kevin doesn’t dislike hunters or hunting. He loves them both. It’d be hard to deny that. Seek Outside loves both as well. There’s no denying it. Call them. They’ll talk hunting packs all day. And, I always felt they were being 100% honest as they saw it. Good bunch of people.

However, that sticky detail of sharing something that 50% of the country isn’t going to like, on social media, with such adamant intent and personal emotion, isn’t likely going to help business.

It was obvious to me on Kevin’s politics. Before I ever bought the pack. I talked my way through it because I have always wanted to try a SO pack. I did it. And, I’m glad I did. It’s a fine pack. A really good pack.

However, I’m also calm with the realization that I’ll never buy one more thing from them. Not because I’m as conservative as a person there ever has walked this earth. Because you don’t get to define the 2A. It’s already been done and stated.

It’s off limits. It has to be or we don’t exist Anymore.

Freedom isn’t free. With that freedom comes responsibilities. And that responsibility is understanding the freedom that allows us to buy and own personal firearms, makes it possible for lunatics to purchase firearms for their crimes. And, there’s plenty of examples of that.

You can’t be free to buy that AR and simultaneously be naive to the reality wackos have and will do the same in the future. And kill innocent people with it. It’s going to happen. No matter how hard you try to stop it. But, it’s got to be acknowledged it’s worth that. And it is.

Bluntly, anyone who doesn’t consider the 2A impeccable as is, isn’t welcome in my camp or my home. We can disagree on a lot of things. But, the 2A isn’t one of them.

I know he doesn't want to take anything away from me. It's the anti-hunting folks who see what he's convicted of and use it in the court of public opinion to take things away from me. It's really not that different

You keep saying that about Boebert. Yet the democrats redistricted her with the intention of knocking her out. She still won despite some strange vote patterns. They then canceled the recount and conceded to her.

I find it refreshing to have a non lawyer holding a congressional seat. I think the founders intended for citizens like Boebert to hold office and then go back to their districts.

Not my district so not overly concerned with her but have no reason to dislike her at this point. Would be interested to hear her take on wolves.

Damnit! I just got wind of all this. I have a few seek shelters and was planning on a larger teepee. Won’t be seek now- I know peax makes smaller ones but looks like a Kifaru 8 man is in my future. I’m not sure I even want to look at their stove anymore…need to change that too

the wolves were voted on the same election she was first elected you would think the wolves issues would be important to her district. There have been some reactive points with a recent co-sponsored bill to delist wolves, but I can‘t find anything prior. Not much activity connected to the district I can find, Seriously sounds like a good podcast.

A simple look at the numbers and the wolf ballot passed because of front range counties pike boulder/denver/jefferson, withiut the denver metro area, that ballot does not pass, not even close....I'm not sure what Garfield Co or Boebert have to do with the wolf ballot passing. Are you implying that a US Rep has a way to stop a state ballot initiative simply because it effects a county in her district?

I'd assume, as she seems friendly to ranchers and hunters alike, that she opposes the re-introduction. A simple call to her office could probably clarify if you're that concerned about her stance.

And what exactly does any of that have to do with Kevin and Busse pushing anti 2A talking points, the actual topic of this thread.
