Who cares. Without discussions with people that have opposing views, there's no chance of progress on these issues and the divide will get larger and larger.

Seek outside probably has a mixed customer base. Why would you alienate half of your customers by making your opinion on such a hot topic publicly known?
I get the we need to have discourse for progress, but what is the progress in the realm of 2A? One side is trying to hold on while the other side hacks it to bits and pieces.

That is honestly the issue with classical liberal vs progressive mindsets. One side is for freedom and liberty and individuality the other wants total compliance and gov control, at a certain point discourse is pretty moot. I think we are in the place we are today because one side has been more polite and tolerant and it’s not the side that “claims” tolerance.

Absolutely… I don’t want to be a hard liner or dwell in conspiracy too much but all these little things matter. Used to think the wolf reintroduction in Co was whatever, but when you know what is at the root of it all, aka getting rid of hunters and then another excuse to rid the country of privately owned firearms, I am super opposed. The anti’s have been playing chess while we argue with each other about checkers. We better dig in and prepare to fight for what we currently have or a couple decades from now hindsight might be all we have to remember, just some food for thought

Spend about 15 mins on Kevin Timms Twitter page and things make more sense. There was no pushback on Busse because Timm agrees with it all. One thing is clear, he has a very healthy disdain for Republicans.
I’ve been following this whole thread, trying to make logical sense of it but those things he said on twitter just put me over the edge. Guess I’ll be looking elsewhere for a new stove this season.

Those were just a few screenshots I grabbed. There's a lot more there if someone cared to look. It'll be interesting to see if he stands by that sentiment or wipes it with one of those Hillary cloths.

read through this entire thread.

went from kinda bummed about SO but understanding that Kevin has a diverse customer base to-

the guy basically hates my guts and made a bunch off money of people he hates.

they will never get a dime from me and I will gladly steer people away from their products.

quite simply- F them

“Couldn’t have done it without this spectacular set up”!
“ I owe my overwhelming success at killling trophy animals and wolves to SO. Thanks guys, I couldn’t have killed all these wolves in the enclosed picture without you! Keep producing fine products that enable me to stay longer and hunt harder! God Bless!”

I wonder how that would go, if every guy who used their gear to flood their instagram with picture after picture of happy hunters posing with lots of dead animals. Kind of like reverse canceling. I mean, the left is better at it than we are.

Part of me knows out Military is so good because its voluntary.

Part of me wishes it was required.
Everyone would have a lot fresher perspective on how the big wide world turns.
Don't think our constitution needs protection.
Go to an fing country without one.
See wtf you think about that.

I’ll take an apology from all those guys on page 1/2 who were trying to insinuate I was just being unnecessarily divisive by questioning SO motives. 😉😂
I know the above is somewhat tongue in cheek, but it is still a good policy (IMHO) to listen/read before taking a firm stance on something. This time your suspicions turned out to be well founded and correct.

This thread reminded me of a thread a few years ago about “Misfire” (the Tim Mak book about the NRA) and some who refused to read the book or consider the message because they didn’t like the messenger. As posted above by @realunlucky, it’s better to know.

Damn so this guy made a ton of money off of hunters and probably hated us the whole time. If hunters stop supporting them they will definitely take notice. I know they sell a lot to hikers too but you'd have to be a hell of a granola packer to fork over the cash for their gear. Hunters are generally willing to pay for top quality gear because it will actually see hard use. Not just summer camping. I think hunters make up a lot of their customer base from what I've seen. But I don't think they like that obviously.
