White Mountain Apache- be aware

Having someone field judge a 5x5 as being 8 years or older is hilarious. Sounds like a total crap show and I’m not surprised at all at the lack of help, follow up, etc

OP has numerous threads about bad guided hunts and crooked outfitters
Story seems sus on first read.

Is the WMA res that big and ginormous and remote? I can understand hunkering down for a night if you got left somewhere remote like the Frank Church. But I feel like maybe you could have walked to the nearest road, flagged someone down for a ride, and been mega pissed when you got back to camp. 🤷

Definitely need a lot more details but I think you are overestimating most peoples abilities (especially those who do guided hunts). A lot of the reservations are pretty remote though and there is always shenanigans when dealing with them.

It seems crazy to me too that a guy wouldn't have onX or something of that sort to get back to the truck or something. Also a way to start a fire, we are talking about Arizona, not like starting a fire in Alaska.

Then again, I guess if you are strictly a hunter that gets guided around all the time then you may not have the survival skills or know how to be prepared.

By the way, I'm not discounting the story. Just seems like there might be some critical details left out.

I’m sure there is a lot of detail being left out
