I've owned a Tundra and a Chevy with Ford F150's on both sides and in-between them. The Tundra was nice, was one of the first generation trucks. Always tried to put the seat back more. Was a great running truck, zero problems, milage sucks. Back to a Ford and then a Chevy with 5.3 engine. I called that truck a gutless wonder. The Ford I had with a 5.4 would pull circles around that Chevy, most underpowered truck I've ever owned. At 70,000 miles it started drinking oil like crazy, Chevy would not stand behind it, traded it and later Chevy admitted it had problems. And now on my 3rd Ford F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost. It's my daily driver and my hunting and fishing truck. Goes out west pulling a 16 foot enclosed trailer and in summer a 18 foot boat. I've had a few minor problems with 2 of them, warranty fixed them all. Now looking for my 4th F150 3.5. Does milage suck when towing?? Yes, it does with eery truck. My truck got 2 mpg's better than my Buddys new Chevy pulling my trailer. And yes my buddy's new Chevy was still a gutless wonder. Never driven a newer Ram, so can't comment on them

F-150. Excellent truck with the EcoBoost. Plenty of power and decent gas mileage. I owned 3 GM trucks previously and am on my second Ford.

2018 F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. Absolutely love the truck but have recently started having issues with it. It has 86k miles on it and just got it back from the dealership for a cam phaser replacement last week. The night I got it back, I had the common frozen door latch problem. To top it all off, it went into limp mode when I pulled out of my driveway this morning... Ran fine when I shut it off and started it back up. At least I'm not having phaser issues anymore lol

To the people with Fords, are you actually using them as a truck or 95% highway driving? Only asking because every Ford I've owned has been a pile of crap. I've had a 97 f150, 07 crown vic, 10 expedition and 13 explorer. All major problems under 100k. No disrespect to the Ford following. Currently looking for a new half ton.
i have a 2000 F250 7.3 diesel with 300k miles. Never an issue and the reason they still sell for 15k

Wife drives a 17' Chevy 1500 5.3L with 140,000 or so miles. I just replaced the front hubs about a month ago. Other than that it's been great and she loves it. Have an 09' 2500 for towing.

2009 GMC Sierra 5.3- 165k miles.
I bought it with 48k miles

Been a good truck. No major issues.
Recently I did buy an AFM delete chip for it [makes it stay in 8 cyl]
I plug it in when I want it and remove it when I dont

Currently 2015 F150 6.5' bed with the 3.5Eco.
Great truck, nothing other than maintenance in 140k miles.
No towing, lots of backcountry exploring.
Couldn't run away from my 2006 Tacoma fast enough.
That was just a pathetic piece of engineering and lowest-cost supplier weak sauce.
I wouldn't consider a Toyota ever again.

2011 f150. A touch over 200,000. Runs great. I’ve put a new positive cable harness, starter, and a strut. Decided to replace the starter when I replaced the harness. Hard to get to and it just made sense. Did body and paint but any truck in salt would need that after 11 years.

I’ve been blessed.

Guess not many Ram eco diesel . I love my 22 Rebel eco- tows like a hog and sips fuel. Before the lift it was getting 26-27 mpg. Not a real peppy truck but loads of torque.

17 Tundra Crew Max TRD spends most of it's time in the Morton building now since I drive my son's college car for my commuter. Not an ounce of trouble after just clicking over 50K miles. I don't have enough space to type my issues with a Ford F150, Expedition, and Escape. I will never own another Ford period.

Have a 2012 F150 3.5 Ecoboost Crew cab 6.5 bed
Had a lot of miles on it when I bought it used but were all one owner and all highway and have a stack of paperwork for everything that was fixed or repaired for the entire life of the truck. I have had it 2 years had 180k on it when I bought it. Has 220k on it now. Only thing that I have done is a waterpump and I just did that about a month ago.
Tons of power and is a nicer truck than I have ever had.

I drove a 2008 Tundra to something like 160,000 miles. Started having strange electrical problems and replaced it with a 2015 Tundra. Did not ever like the seats or interior on the SR5 version I got. Drove it 7 years and got great resale from it.

Replaced that with a Ford F250 7.3 gasser. It gets better mpg than the 5.7 Tundra. Obviously has massively better towing and hauling. Loaded it with green firewood a few weeks back and it didn't even notice. Very comfortable as well though it of course rides like a 3/4 ton offroad. So far at 10,000 miles and very happy with it. Bought it new for less than a similarly equipped 2022 Tundra.
