I think my last one was a DBL Western extra cheese and criss cut fries. Its the only time I get to eat like a fat kid and I love it!
Pretty hard to beat a Bagel stacked with cream cheese, Salami, and Prescuito, followed by and Endo Rush energy Drink... Go all day on the Combo!
I usually hit a sub way on the way to the trail. Italian bmt loaded with veggies is pretty standard. Justin tried to get me to stop at a taco bell on the way to the rokslide hike but I told him I only packed a half roll of toilet paper
No way Doritois Locos Tacos are awesome!!!
No shame in that man....eating a corndog enroute to the trailhead is formula for success IMO.
No soda or burgers for me. I do the same as I would before a run, swim, or other workout and eat half a can of dark red kidney beans (reduced sodium and rinsed), with some almonds or peanut butter, and water to wash it down. I save my 4 cups of vegetables for lunch and dinner, however the vegetables are drastically reduced on backpacking trips. My wife thinks my diet is terrible in regards to flavor and variety.
