Two setups I’m testing for this upcoming season.

Bow: Prime Centergy 28.5 draw 73 lbs

Arrow 1:
Easton Axis match grade 300
50 gr brass hit
4 Aae max stealth
125 gr Kudu (hopefully Iron Will soon)
Total 515, 13% Foc

Arrow 2:
BE Rampage 300
75 gr brass hit
4 Aae max stealth
125 gr Kudu (IW)
Total 480 gr, 16% foc

We will see which one shoots the best. Right now the bow seems to really be liking the axis. Great grouping down range.

Switched this week from 6mm axis with 3 fletched blazers, standard insert and 125 grain montecs that weight in at 478.

Building a new arrow currently. Starting with 340 axis, 50 grain inserts, arrow wrap, blazer vanes on some and AAE on other arrows with a 100 grain point. Looking for a total arrow weight of around 430. Will use for elk, whitetail and potentially bear.

This thread really has me wanting to try collars!

Been shooting ACC pro hunter 340’s with blazers and 100 grain magnus stingers since 2010. I’m down to 8 arrows and will most likely be looking for something new this year. Hoping to go to something with total arrow weight between 450-500 grains

Why not get more ACC, they are probably Eastons best shaft they ever made?

Easton axis 5mm 260 spine 29.5 inches long
75 grain brass hit insert with 100 grain field point
x nock
Playing around with blazers and fobs right now

For the last two years I thought my bow was just hard to tune, but turns out I was shooting under spined arrows. Just shot a bare shaft bullet hole through paper with my new arrows.

I'm interested in heavy arrows and their performance. What animals have you taken with this set up & how did the arrow perform? Did you hit bone, and if so, did the arrow punch through with no problems? Thanks

Just picked up some Easton aftermaths for next to nothing. Going to cut from each end to improve straightness. They are 340 spine and 9.6 GPI.

Going to run 6 with 3 blazers and 6 with AAE’s.

Both sets will get inserts. Just not sure on the weight yet.

I enjoy playing around like this and getting into it over last year has been awesome
