What's up everyone, in my last post I was seeking arrow build recommendations. Now seeking opinions or recommendations on what I came to before I pull the trigger on them. Thank you in advance!

Firstly, my bow Setup:
Matthew's Vertix
29" Draw
60 lb draw weight

Arrow Setup:
Victory RIP TKO Gamer .003 300 Spine Cut to 28 (~246 grains)
Stock HLR Shok Inserts (50 Grains)
Stock AAE Nock (8 grains)
DCA Mini Sabre Vanes at 2 degree Offset (18 grains)
DCA Arrow Wrap (10 grains)

Total arrow Weight without broadheads = ~332 gr
add : 100 gr broadhead = ~432 gr , 125 gr broadhead = ~457.

Not sure you need to go 300 spine, but I always like stiffer if leaning one way (I shoot 300 at 70lbs and 28.25" arrow, 50gr inserts and 100gr head). Might try a 300 and 350 if they will let you and shoot through paper.
300 would also allow to easily shoot a 125gr head.

Overall weight should be good for about anything up to elk size and even bigger with correct broadhead.

Good Luck!

looking at GPI, there's only a 3-grain difference between the 300 and 350 spines with 350 being the 3 grained lighter arrow. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the only difference be I have a more stable arrow? or am I wrong to associate stiffness with stability?

Personally, I'd use a HIT before I'd use those stock inserts. I love HIT's, been using them for 20 years now. Don't know anything about those vanes, and I hate wraps. Other than that, should be a decent arrow. I use RIP TKO Elite 250's at 32.5" draw and 70lbs. Great arrows.

Is there a specific brand of HIT insert you recommend? Seems like easton is the main brand. and also, any particular reason for the wrap hate? thanks for the reply!

I would also use a HIT. Easton, Ethics Archery, and Iron Will offer them in a variety of materials and weights ranging from 15 to 150 grains. Steel and titanium are stronger materials than aluminum and brass, but IMO material choice doesn’t matter much with a HIT. The strength of the HIT “system” comes more from the carbon arrow shaft surrounding the HIT than from the HIT itself. The HIT really just provides something to screw the point/head into.

Otherwise that sounds like a solid arrow.

My two suggestions would be cut the arrows to 27”. With the half outs you would sit about 3/4 of an inch in front of launcher. And then lose the wrap. They look good but they are just unnecessary weight on the wrong end of the arrow.

I like the IP5 nock fit on string, but am uncomfortable with how easy they fit in the arrow shaft. Probably not an issue but some slide in way too easy which means it can slide out just as well. I changed mine to Bohning A Nocks which are much better fitting.

I always go 125 head as they are more stout.

While you could probably go 350 spine, I always suggest going one stiffer. Less flex means quicker recovery and better flight. Plus it will flex less on impact.

If you decide to go HIT, which I too would suggest, cut arrows to 27.5 and put a collar on.

I have a 29 dl as well and I went with Podium 15 grain titanium hit and Iron Will 10 grain titanium collar. Might jump my broad heads to 150.
