What to do with wrecked car?

Fix it yourself. My wife hit a deer. There was about that amount of damage to her 2014 Acadia. Two quotes from repair shops were just over $8000. Once they got it apart, they said there is an additional $4000 for a total of $12,000 dollars in parts. I'm pretty sure the insurance is going to total it. I'll buy it back and fix it. I can do it for about $2000 in all new parts.
