What new gear are you taking with you this year?

What new gear are you taking into the field with you this fall?

For me, it’s a new range finder. I was using a sig but the moa readout was too slow. Went with a revic and so far I’m really liking it. The instant readout along with the onboard sensors are nice.

I also switched to the non-mag marsupial harness. Had problems with my navigation last year due to the magnets.

New k4 exo pack, sig kilo 8k replaced my 2400 abs, swapped out my suirui tripod with flip locks to a slick with twist locks, and a couple MKC knives over my havalon.

10 days of wet feet and cold nights on a late season mule deer hunt had me replace my:
Salewa Crow for Hanwag Ancash
Enlightened Equipment 20 degree quilt for. Western Mountaineering Badger.
Also swapped out my vortex bump harness for a marsupial.

Just got greenlit for an Arizona coues deer hunt this fall and I haven't done any spot and stalk hunting for 4+ years. In the meantime I've added a fair bit of stuff.

RRS TFCT-34L
Switched back to KRG chassis for my rifles
Just got my Huber two-stage operational again, which I'm very excited about.
Switched over to an Outdoorsman adapter on my EL 10x50s because the Swarovski strap system was horrible

And a bunch of other stuff but those are the ones I liked the most.

New Argali Absaroka tent, a new tricer tripod, and a freshly build rifle (7-300PRC) topped with a Maven RS3.2 scope. Excited to draw a tag and put all this new gear to work.

Nothing new, except for maybe a new pair of pants.

Very little overall. New Stone Glacier vest, and a new spotter. Other than that just usual annual replacements like diaphragm calls and water filter cartridges

Picked up the KUIU fleece in blaze orange. I’ve used a FL sawtooth for that layer in the past, but having a orange layer will eliminate some of the headaches of taking layers on and off and dealing with a vest. Now, if we can just get a merino baselayer in Orange, the vest will be reserved for puffy duty only.

New tent poles. Really.

If you have a wall tent with steel poles, you know what I mean.

aluminum, from the wall tent shop. Half the weight.

oh gosh, where to start? I think I've spent more on gear than the actual hunt!
New Leupold 4-12x50 scope w/custom dial
Leupold Binocular harness
Ridge Merino medium weight wool baselayers
Duckworth heavyweight base layers, + sweater
Kenetrek Mtn Extreme insulated boots
Nemo 15 degree down sleeping bag + insulated pad
Duluth Trading wicking/quick dry undergarments
Steel target for shooting practice
Packing cubes to try to make all this fit in a suitcase
Prois 3 in 1 Parka
Prois down mittens

all on sale except the boots. goal is to stay warm and not break anything on a late October cow elk pack trip. totally different climate and terrain than I'm used to, and we have weight restrictions so most of what I use at home wouldn't really work.

I haven't bought anything this year related to hunting. We have been keeping it pretty low key.

Maybe some new havalon blades?

Yeah, but you look so cool and you're so admired by social media fans. Isn't it every Rokslider's dream and their ultimate goal, to own all of the latest-and-greatest, just for the prestige? Am I missing something here? I thought that was the goal?
