Mine I inherited from my grandfather. Is a 1934 Winchester 94 in 30 WCF (30-30win). Gave it to me when I was 18 the day before deer season. First day I shot a fork (second deer ever) and the second day I got a 8 point. I don’t carry it much anymore because is super nice and want to keep it that way.

I believe mine is a Model 98 Mauser. As far as I can tell, circa 1918. Still shoots great. I have a couple old revolvers but I've never bothered to look them up. They and the Mauser were my grandfathers.

I have my grandpa's Colt Detective Special 38 snub nose from the 50s along with the original paperwork he had to get the sheriff to sign so he could get it.

I also have an early 60s winchester model 100 in .243 that he gave me as well.

Don't forget to check out the 100 with Winchester, to see if the firing recall is done. Great rifle.

Good advice and I know it hasn't been completed on mine. I also need to get some work done on the extractor. Unfortunately I know a ton about the model 100s and how the bolt can fall over the trigger assembly and brick the rifle if the action screws are even a touch loose. Been looking for a good smith to fix my extraction issues for a while but haven't run across anyone.
