Those of you using truck toppers, what are you sleeping on? Cots, mattress, air mattress?
I just use my backpacking pad. Less stuff to keep up with. KissThose of you using truck toppers, what are you sleeping on? Cots, mattress, air mattress?

I sleep on an Alps Mountaineering cot. Done that comfortably to temperatures down to 0F. I had a quality sleeping pad as well. Those of you using truck toppers, what are you sleeping on? Cots, mattress, air mattress?
This is what I do but I add a 2” foam topper to it.I just use my backpacking pad. Less stuff to keep up with. Kiss
My cot that fit over the wheelwell finally gave out. I m gonna build a plywood platform on legs and add a foam pad under my sleeping pad that fits over the wheelwell next. Its nice that it doesnt eat up as much bed space that way. Those of you using truck toppers, what are you sleeping on? Cots, mattress, air mattress?
Last year we used some blow up camping pads. They seemed to leak this year so we switched to some foam pads. Not exactly the most comfortable, so I'm looking at a different solution. If there is two of you, you will probably want to be above the wheel wells for a little extra room. Those of you using truck toppers, what are you sleeping on? Cots, mattress, air mattress?
I try to limit it based on the CVT. American models in this range didn't have a trans cooler. I still have that trailer from the camry picture and I've towed a lawnmower or trash to the dump but nothing heavy. Weight limit is pretty small for these. One of the reasons I'm going to end up with a truck.@np307. Have you ever towed with the Forester?
I built a removable platform. Tall enough to fit storage bins under it with an access lid in the middle. I use a Therm A Rest MondoKing 3D air pad. That thing is killer warm and comfortable. Those of you using truck toppers, what are you sleeping on? Cots, mattress, air mattress?
