I have a Dall sheep hunt booked for the southern Yukon in 2027 and have several questions. Is there much chance of seeing a Fannin sheep? Are there any or many woodland caribou that would make sense to add to the list? How about Grizzlies or wolves? Im trying to get a sense or what is reasonable to expect versus having unrealistic expectations.

Which outfitter are you hunting with? Southern Yukon is a big area. Fannin's are typically found in the central part of the territory around Faro and Ross River to up around Dawson. Southern Yukon is mostly Dall's with some stone's in the Cassiars. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you want.

Ahh, so youre gonna be just over the border in the NWT. I'd say your chances of seeing a fannin in that area are pretty low. Its a good area for caribou. Been a few years since I guided in the NWT but Im fairly certain that grizzly is still closed to nonresidents.
